Project Management Expertise and Pod Structure

Each matter is staffed with a project management team consisting of a senior project manager, who has at least 10 years’ experience with complex case management in eDiscovery, and who will focus on assisting you with strategy. The senior project manager will be assisted by one to two other project managers who will work on the technical aspects of your case and therefore will bill at a lower rate, helping to reduce costs. This pod structure results in the most cost-effective service for you and also means that someone familiar with your case is available 24/7/365. In addition, we cross-thread our pods so that two senior project managers are familiar with each client, their data and their workflows. This enables us to dedicate two pods of up to six total project managers to meet the demands of multiple large, complex and contemporaneous cases with tight discovery deadlines.

Lighthouse’s project management pods are led by Beau Holt. Beau came to Lighthouse from K&L Gates, one of the early pioneers in eDiscovery best practices. With over 12 years of serial litigation, complex case and review management, Beau manages a senior team that has a unique ability to assess case needs, create workflow solutions and guide clients through the litigation lifecycle, ensuring reduced costs and mitigation of risks for our clients.

A Separate and Dedicated Hosted Review Team

Unlike many eDiscovery service providers, Lighthouse has a stand-alone Hosted Solutions team, consisting of attorneys, Certified Information Systems Security Professionals, paralegals, software engineers, and software architects. By segregating this team, our technical project managers don’t need to be experts in hosted review and our Hosted Solutions consultants don’t need to be experts in project management, resulting in the highest quality and most cost-effective client experience. We provide hosted review support 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year, so that technical or training issues will not result in idle or inefficient reviewers, reducing costs. Lighthouse’s Hosted Solutions consultants are Relativity-Admin Certified and highly experienced attorneys, paralegals, and other professionals. Adding to that experience, our team of developers and technical engineers has customized the Relativity experience to better deliver hosted review.

Lighthouse’s dedicated Hosted Solutions team’s sole purpose is to assist our clients hosting data in one of the many platforms we support. This is particularly important for clients using an outside first-pass review firm because our dedicated team has institutional knowledge of your data and your review workflow preferences throughout the eDiscovery process.

The Hosted Solutions team is led by Nat Byington. Nat also came to Lighthouse from K&L Gates, first leading litigation database search and support teams, and then as an eDiscovery Staff Attorney. Nat has a Master’s Degree in Computational Linguistics and is an expert on technology-assisted review, helping us develop ReviewSmart, our unique application that enables our clients to largely eliminate the cost of first-pass review.
