The Lighthouse ReDiscovery Platform leverages prior work product of outside review firms and outside counsel by pre-coding the data; as a result, we reuse prior decisions relating to responsiveness and privilege, eliminating the need for review of as much as 20% of the document set.
This repository not only begins the lifecycle of each document, but it also creates a wealth of information about each document, which our Project Managers use to inform decisions about the case, and become aware of issues that repeat across cases. We can even do this if the coding relationship was not maintained in an optimum manner. In a recent matter, we were able to locate 61,000 documents out of 8.65 million records despite the fact that the coding from the prior matter was no longer associated with the documents. We leveraged our engineering resources to perform complex SQL queries and identified the documents within a matter of hours.
